It's been an exciting couple of months leading up to the holiday season! We've been traveling back and forth from LA to the Bay doing shows with Kero One and Aloeye, we ran into Far East Movement and Dumbfoundead and getting an opportunity to paint a mural w/ some of our closest friends and mentors! GYRE got a chance to excersise hits solo looping/beatboxing set at River Vibes Music Festival and for Fashion Week SF in between the designers showcases! Mugpush has been steadily gigging in and around the Bay Area playing festivals and recording in the studio with the likes of Dwight Tribble and Danny Thomas of Con Funk Shun!
As if this was't exciting enough, we just got word that Kero One was invited by STEVIE WONDER to play at his 17th Annual "House Full of Toys" Benefit Concert at the Nokia Theater in Los Angeles with Bruno Mars! Stevie Wonder's House Full of Toys Benefit Concert features a live concert by the iconic artist as well as guest performances by some of the biggest pop stars on the planet. Every year, the benefit stars Stevie Wonder and is hosted by a philanthropic celebrity like Steve Harvey. People come every year to see Stevie's long list of hits performed on stage, including chart-topping singles like "I Just Called to Say I Love You" and "Isn't She Lovely."
In addition to the legendary set by Stevie Wonder, the House Full of Toys Benefit Concert brings out headlining acts in genres ranging from hip-hop to gospel. Past performers at Stevie Wonder's House Full of Toys Benefit Concert include Drake, Justin Bieber, Corinne Bailey Rae, Michael McDonald, The Imperials, and the Jonas Brothers.
GYREFUNK will be accompanying KERO on guitar together with SUHN on the vocals performing the song "What Am I Supposed To Do". Backed by Stevie Wonder's Band, this will definitely be a performance to remember!
